Birthday Weekend - Victoria Falls
We just returned from Vic Falls where we had a fabulous weekend. We are three 20s/30s girls who went to celebrate our birthdays and could not have been happier.
We stayed at Shoestrings backpackers, which was incredible! All the staff from the manager to the chef made our stay fantastic. We came to vic falls to see the falls and didnt expect much else, but we had such fun everywhere and great parties at night! It seems everyone comes here for the nightlife, but they also shut it down at a reasonable hour so that people can get some sleep.
Food is fairly pricey everywhere compared to Lesotho where we live, but there is a fast food place in town that we made good use of!
Fully recommend the national park (we went in the Zim side) for really seeing the falls. The helicopter ride was great too, but a lot of money.
We loved the Zimbabwe people and are so pleased we stayed that side.
Boo and Tony were so helpful with everything, made it so easy for us and gave great advice. Thanks for a wonderful trip!!
