Introduction

The David Livingstone Safari Lodge and Spa is located about 9km from the Victoria Falls on the Zambian side of the upper Zambezi River. Shuttle services are available to and from the falls and Livingstone town. Opened in 2008, the safari lodge is a few minutes off the Mosi oa Tunya Road within the Mosi oa Tunya National Park which is managed by the Zambia Wildlife Authority. This means that guests must pay the national park fees for each day that they stay at the lodge. However, this means that guests do have access to the park if they wish to go on game drives.

David Livingstone Safari Lodge and Spa has 77 beautiful and comfortable en-suite luxury rooms with a private balcony, all of which face the Zambezi River. The executive suites are fully equipped with a separate lounge/entertainment area, and have a Jacuzzi bath as well. Guests can enjoy the services in the health spa and the gym which offers personal training. These facilities are inclusive. Staying at the lodge is costly and suitable for those who are willing to spend a lot of money.

The safari lodge has beautiful luscious gardens, a swimming pool and terrace all facing the river. Docked on the shores is The Lady Livingstone cruise boat which belongs to the safari lodge. This 144 passenger, 3 deck boat offers David Livingstone Safari Lodge and Spa guests sunset cruises with light meals, snacks and drinks for an additional fee. Dining options at the lodge include the Kalai Restaurant which serves Afro-Arabian cuisine and the Ujiji Bar.

Customer Feedback

Brilliant service and so helpful
by Sally (Blisworth, U.K.)
I stumbled across Victoria Fall Guide by accident, but I am so glad I did. Tony and Boo were so helpful, advising us on the best activities for us as I have mobility issues, and arranging our itinerary and booking everything. I had no worries about using them, or sending a very large payment to someone I didn’t know. Everything they booked for us was so well organised, pick ups on time, knowledgeable and friendly guides, clean transport. We did the walking tour of the falls, the sunset dinner cruise, full day at Chobe, the team, lion encounter and the helicopter and every single one was faultless. We were also due to do the lunar rainbow but unfortunately it was cancelled, however boo arranged the refund immediately. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. We are so grateful to them for making our special holiday even more so.
