A wonderful situation on the banks of the Zambezi River

The A Zambezi is located right on the banks of the Zambezi River about 5kms out of the town and 6kms from the Victoria Falls.

No other hotel has this situation and it is truly lovely.

The thatched two story lodge like motel is set in well maintained gardens and the swimming pool finished in chip tile is very inviting.

Warthogs can be seen roaming the lawns and a local resident hippo comes up most nights from the river to graze.

The hotel is also the closest hotel to the gates of the Zambezi National Park.

We found the staff very helpful and friendly – there is a booking desk situated at the hotel for all your activities in the area.

A hotel bus goes into the town every hour so even though you are a little way out of town it does not prove a problem.

A good family hotel with a paddling pool for the younger children and a very relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

This is well priced accommodation with average facilities and service. Sometimes local functions like weddings can become a bit dominating and could spoil your overall experience if you are there over a weekend and were planning on having a nice quiet time.

Dining

The wooden decked and thatched Amulango Restaurant overlooking the river is a great place to enjoy your meals whilst staying at the hotel.

Every night the hotel has traditional dancers around a huge outdoor fire – next to the restaurant.

The restaurant serves both a buffet style dinner and set menu depending on the different nights.

Snacks and cold drinks can be enjoyed in the open bar area or around the swimming pool.
