Ilala Lodge was wonderful
Hi Boo - The trip you arranged for us went extremely well. The Ilala Lodge was wonderful.... warm welcome from very friendly staff, lovely room, superb service and splendid food. The activities were all very enjoyable, although we missed the Sunset Cruise on our first day because of the long delays at both the Zam. and Zim. borders. We were warned about the bureaucracy but didn't think it would take nearly 3 hours in total! The organizers and hotel staff did all they could to re-schedule but we couldn't fit it in with the other activities. This was the only negative of our whole stay. All the other activities were great and we added in a helicopter flight which, though expensive, was a fantastic experience. We were totally convinced that we had the best hotel in the area; we cannot recommend it enough and will definitely stay there if we have the good fortune to visit V. Falls again.
