Ron Campbell - Campbells Biltong

by Ron Campbell
(Costa Del Sol, Spain)

As a Rhodesian Born, I was so lucky to have been on Operation Noah - Kariba with my Dad and so many others saving those beautiful Beasts from the rising waters of Kariba. I later whilst serving in the Army spent some time on Kariba, followed by holidays & fishing trips on Kariba & the Zambezi down past Chirundu. Nothing on this planet can match the beauty or tranquillity of Kariba & the Zambezi Valley, it will be one of the world’s greatest tragedies if that was all destroyed in the name of "Progress"?? Maybe Nyami Nyami will revolt and flush the money grabbers out. I pray it does. Ron Campbell.

On the wrong track

I was also involved in operation Noah
I like you was force watch the animals relocated due to Kariba dam. We now for the first time have the chance to dredge the river save game environment that no-one it seems cares about - they just want dams for pleasure unnecessary hydro schemes when our country is two thirds coal.
When we have the chance to clear the river to help animals you complain about boats that go on to fish that made it necessary to build Kariba dam and others.
