Zambezi River report - Rising waters; rafting and devils swim move to high water

by Tony
(Victoria Falls Zimbabwe)

High Water Rafting

10th January 2017
Please note that Low Water Rafting is now closed after a sudden rise in the Zambezi River as a result of heavy localised downpours. We are now offering only High Water Rafting, which we will continue to run until such time as the river levels dictate that rafting closes.

High Water Rafting - Zimbabwean side Quick facts:
Rapids: #11 to #24
Lunch: Lunch is served at the top of the gorge at Rapid #23
Time: 07:30 to 14:00
Duration: 6.5 hrs
Briefing Location: The Lookout Café

Livingstone Island Update
Please be advised that the Devil's Pool has closed with immediate effect, due to the high water levels. Alternatively, the 'Angels pool' has been opened where visitors can enjoy swimming on the edge of the magnificent Victoria Falls.
