ZIMBABWE Victoria Falls- IS SAFE and has the only view of the falls

STAY ON THE ZIMBABWE SIDE! There is NO view on the Zambia side in low season, that is why those tour groups are trying to scare you into staying on that side. Once you get there, you will see that they were lying and end up going over to the Zimbabwe side anyways.
I visited Victoria Falls at the beginning of December. I was a solo woman traveler that flew into the Zimbabwe airport. I admit I had fears due to the media before I landed, but they all were untrue of this area.
Victoria falls is isolated from everything else in Zimbabwe, and the people were extremely kind. This area survives due to the tourism. One note do not exchange money, they only except foriegn currency(any)- there money has no value.
I stayed at the Victoria Falls Safari lodge which offer a free shuttle every 1/2 half hour to all the sites. The service and views from this hotel were top notch.
Please stay in Zimbabwe if you visit the falls, you will not regret the wonderful experience. And in return you will help these very kind people get through the current situation.
