How much USD to bring

Excluding the cost of Visas, hotel, and prearranged excursions, which we are paying for in advance, how much USD should a couple bring to Victoria Falls for 2 meals a day and taxis for 5 days? What is expected for tips for excursions, meals and taxi rides?

USD costs
by: Tony

This question is such a difficult one to answer and I hate being asked it because it is like asking how long is a price of string, as it all depends on what you do.
I would pay for all your meals with a credit card not cash - 2 people casual dining in a reasonable restaurant $45 - $55 including some drinks. Lunch slightly cheaper but depends on what you choose to eat, I would still budget on $30 to $40.
Tipping is normally 10% for good service - it is not mandatory and this can also be added to the bill and paid for by card.
Guides / drivers would be very appreciative of a $5 to $10 tip for short excursion activities.
Taxi fares around town are $5 per taxi and $30 from the airport.

Thank you Tony, and what about tipping guidesign on excursions? Half day activity, and a 2-day excursion?
