We had a wonderful trip up to Hwange and Vic Falls

(UK)

Dear Boo---we are back in the UK. We had a wonderful trip up to Hwange and Vic Falls. It took 3 and a half days to drive up from Hermanus to Ivory Lodge, and the same time to drive back. We loved Ivory Lodge and Explorers Village---both the accommodation and the staff.

In Hwange I recognised Main Camp from the time we stayed there in 1965.
We visited Vic falls in 1965 and have since been there twice on the Zambian side. The falls are as fantastic as ever, but I found that there were too many other activities on offer. I suppose the younger people enjoy them!! The helicopters are a bit intrusive.
In 65 there was one boat for the booze-cruise. In 2012, when I was in Zambia, there were many more. Now there are even more--and bigger. That Zambian boat, disguised as floating African village, is awful.
Thank you so much for your assistance and advice.
Best wishes,
Bill
