What is RSS?

Add Victoria Falls Guide to Your RSS Feed

"RSS" means "Really Simple Syndication." But that's just a fancy way of saying that you can keep up with all the updates to this site without having to check the site every week to see "what's new." New pages and updates to old ones are released through RSS.

Once you get started, it's like having your favourite parts of the Web come to you. No need to go out and check for updates all the time. No need for bookmarks! You can "follow" your favourite sites in one application.

RSS on Your Desktop

For a simple solution, you can add a browser extension if you don't already have an RSS reader on your PC. The RSS extension will alert you to updates from your favourite websites.

For Chrome, RSS Feed Reader is a great extension that shows you sites that have been updated with new content. RSS Reader Extension is good alternative, and also available in the Chrome Web Store.

Firefox users can choose from the many RSS extensions offered in their Add-Ons store, such as FeedBro, an easy to use add-on.

If you are using Opera browser, you can add extensions such as Smart RSS from their Add-Ons store. Smart RSS is also available for Firefox.

While the Window extensions mentioned above are free, RSS Button for Safari is available for a small fee and supports family sharing for up to 6 members.

RSS On Mobile Devices

You can install an RSS app on your phone, if you don't already have one, that allows you to add custom feeds. Both Android and Apple stores have several options, and some common to both operating systems, such as Feedly. The Apple News app though no longer allows you to add a custom feed.

Setting Up

Once you have installed your RSS extension or app, add a new feed and input the address as   https://www.victoriafalls-guide.net/Victoria-Falls.xml  to follow Victoria Falls Guide in your RSS feed.

Some add-ons will have optional extra settings which you can customise however you wish. After setup is complete, a list of blog articles should appear in your feed. And that's it!

Once a new post has been published, your RSS reader or app will notify you of new content, complete with a link so you can read the full article.
