Venue Announced for the 2022 Victoria Falls Carnival

(Victoria Falls)

The Vic Falls Carnival organisers recently announced that the new venue for the upcoming 3-day event will be the Elephant Hills Hotel, 4kms away from the centre of town. "The main stage will be set up on the driving range of the resort, next to the Zambezi River" (Vic Falls Carnival).

From its inception, the carnival has been held at the local Victoria Falls Primary school grounds. But it seems that this year is the year for new things. Instead of the party being a New Year's event, the 2022 edition will be over the Worker's Day weekend, starting 29th April and ending on the 1st of May.

It's been 2 years since the town last hosted the Vic Falls Carnival because of Covid-19 lockdowns and restrictions. But with things are opening up now, and the organisers felt it was time to have it as its own stand-alone show.

The show will feature talented Zimbabwean artists, and other Southern African artists from Botswana and South Africa. It promises to be a banging 3-day festival.
