The question is - Do you need one? The airport is situated 22kms from the Victoria Falls town centre and there are bus services or airport transfer which can be easily arranged, through us if you wish - contact Us.

Transfers to town cost in the region of US$12 per person one way. There are also taxis at the airport so if there is a group of you, these work out cheaper as it costs about US$25 to US$30 for all of you.

If you are staying in one of the main hotels you can then rely on their shuttle service to and from town centre and the Falls themselves. If you look at our Map of Victoria Falls you can get a clearer picture of the layout of the town. If you are staying at one of the smaller lodges or B and B's you can either walk or catch a taxi for about US$5 anywhere. In this instance a rental car might be more convenient.

If you decide to go on any of the multitude of activities available then the tour operator will pick you up and drop you off again at your hotel, all included in the price you pay.

Most things around and about are within walking distance, like the shops etc. But one thing I must say is that it does get very hot and walking any distance can be uncomfortable. Also if you feel that you want to go exploring a bit further a field maybe you will need to hire a car, as transfers to Hwange or Botswana do get costly.
