The Seven most Instagram-able spots in Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Africa, known for its stunning natural beauty and thrilling adventure activities. All of this makes it the perfect place to capture a multitude of stunning Instagram-worthy shots that are guaranteed to create a big stir on your profile. Here are our top 7 most Instagram-able spots in Victoria Falls.

1) The Devils Pool

Is a natural infinity pool located on the edge of the Victoria Falls, offering breath-taking view of the falls from the top. You would be hard pushed to find a more dramatic backdrop than this anywhere. To lie on the lip of the largest waterfall in the world and peer down into the 100m chasm below, certainly provides an unbeatable setting for a picture that is guaranteed to reel in the likes ☺. The devil's pool is accessed from the Zambian side and requires a short boat transfer to get there.

2) Main Falls

This is the biggest and most photographed section of the waterfall. It always has the most water, no matter what time of year you visit. For that photo to say… "been there, done that" this is the spot and is sure to get your followers drooling! Viewpoint No 8 inside the Zimbabwean Rainforest, has the best and clearest views of Main Falls. Top Tip…between 1pm and 3pm the rainbows are positioned perfectly for that extra special impact.

3) High Tea at the Victoria Falls Hotel

No visit to Victoria Falls is complete without a visit to this magnificent old hotel, steeped in regal history. High tea on the Stanley Terrace, which has expansive and evocative views across the hotel lawns, through to the Victoria Falls Bridge and the spray of the Victoria Falls beyond. Quite magical… and a scene that certainly gets Instagramers buzzing.

4) Victoria Falls Bridge

This historic and iconic landmark spans the Zambezi River between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Take a stroll onto the bridge and snap a photo of you with the waterfall in the background. The bridge is also the spot for bungee jumping, so if you've got the courage, leap off the bridge and capture that action shot, that will send your followers insane with excitement.

5) Jetboat Below the Victoria Falls

For an up-close and exhilarating experience with the Victoria Falls, I would suggest trying the jet boat ride. These high-speed boats take you right to the bottom of the waterfall. From this totally unique vantage point you get an incredible view, looking up and along the waterfall…it' s stunning! making it a great opportunity to capture some amazing shots.

6) Zambezi Sunset Cruise

The Zambezi River is the fourth longest river in Africa and one of its most wild and beautiful. The river is wide at this point, lazy and serene, before it plunges over the deep chasm of the Victoria Falls about 5 kms further downstream and turns into and raging torrent of churning water. The expansive skies create the most outrageously colourful sunsets, which reflect on the shimmering Zambezi water for yet another attention grabbing Instagram post.

7) The Lookout Café

This café, located on the Zimbabwean side, a short walk from the rainforest entrance, offers jaw-dropping, panoramic views of the gorges below Victoria Falls and truly is "picture perfect". You won't find a restaurant with better views, so make sure you have your camera at the ready while you sip on a refreshing drink or indulge in a tasty bite to eat. You won't be disappointed!
