Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve

This 4000 hectare private game reserve is situated only 12kms from Victoria Falls town centre in Zimbabwe.

It takes about 20 minutes on the tar and dirt roads. This pristine piece of African bush is surrounded on all sides by the 56 000 hectare Zambezi National Park and has the Masue river running through the middle.

It is here that Shearwater Adventures operates its wildlife activities which include, elephant back safaris, lion walks, rhino tracking, big five interactive safaris, game drives, night drives and bush dinners.

The reserve is well stocked with a wide variety of game with regular sightings of buffalo, giraffe, waterbuck, zebra, sable and many more. Birdlife is prolific.

Wild elephant traverse the park regularly but you are also almost guaranteed to see the elephant herd that is kept for the elephant back safaris.

When these magnificent beasts are not being ridden they are released into the park to feed and you can get up really close to them in their natural surroundings.

Shearwater is involved in various conservation projects on Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve which include a successful black rhino breeding program and the rehabilitation of several painted dogs known as the Ukusutha pack.

Situated within the reserve is also the renowned Stanley and Livingstone hotel and also Old Ursula which is self catering accommodation.
