Victoria Falls Destination Update September 2022What's happening? What's New?
It's been a slow but sure road to recovery here in Victoria Falls, as well as the surrounding areas of
Chobe,
Hwange and
Livingstone. Covid-19 regulations have, for the most, part stayed the same since
our last update, except for South Africa and Namibia scrapping entry requirements altogether. We hope the other Southern African countries will do the same soon, as we somewhat return to normalcy. In addition, Zimbabwe's minor border posts, such as Pandamatenga Border, are now open.
Covid-19 Regulations
Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana are still requiring proof of full vaccination or presentation of a valid PCR certificate upon entry into their respective countries. However, in-country regulations, have been eased. In Zimbabwe, wearing of masks is no longer mandatory for those who are fully vaccinated. South Africa and Namibia no longer require visitors to present a PCR certificate or proof of vaccination. Children under the age of 12 years are still exempt from providing either of the documents.
Update 28 September: Botswana have removed Covid-19 entry requirements
altogether.

Activities Update
It's low water season now, and your favourite adrenaline activities on the Zambezi River are fully operational.
White-water rafting during this season is at it's best, with full day trips starting at the Boiling Pot under the Falls, passing right under the Victoria Falls Bridge, down to the
take-out point at rapid #19.
Livingstone Island tours with a swim in the
Devils Pool are also operational with the usual 5 trips a day.
The high speed
adrenaline jetboat is back in full swing – a memorable adrenaline activity on the Zambezi River below the Victoria Falls. These trips will run up to some time in October when the water becomes too low, and will open back up in December.

We have updated information on the Lion Encounter activity, which combines an exciting lion feeding with a game drive on their private concession. As you may be aware, the Walk with Lions activity is no longer an option in Victoria Falls. Be sure to check out the video near the bottom of the
Lion Encounter page.
The River Brewing Co. now offer tours of their microbrewery and restaurant. The tour options include the 'Pint & Paddle' (which comes with a beer and tasting paddle of a selection of craft beers and sodas) and 'Pint, Paddle & Plate' (which includes a beer, tasting paddle and The Brewer's Table dining experience). Curated tours can be arranged for larger or private groups.
The Brewery, as it is known locally, was established in 2017 and quickly became a favourite spot. On some nights, you may find live entertainment from Victoria Falls artists or artists from around different places around Zimbabwe.
