Visit a traditional village
and meet the local people.....
Prepare to be amazed as you enter a different world, where
a way of life continues as it has done for centuries, enabling you to go back in
NOTE: Sadly this Craft Village is no longer in operation. There are
several other cultural activities on offer, like a traditional village tour,
where you go out to a real African village and spend a couple of hours there
seeing how their daily lives operate. There is a also a traditional home hosted
lunch, where you can eat a traditional lunch of mealie meal and stew in a small
house in the township of Victoria falls. Please contact us if you would like
more information on these activities.
This tour is done together with the Tour of the Falls, after
visiting the Victoria Falls you will be taken to the Traditional Craft Village.
In the village you will have a chance to to replica homes of the various tribes
throughout Zimbabwe and Southern Africa.
The history of each tribe and how they have evolved will be
explained during the tour. There will be local people in the village
performing traditional skills such as carving, basket weaving and even cooking.
You will be given the opportunity to shop in the adjoining curio
market and shops for souvenirs and gifts.
Trips run daily between 8.00 and 8.30 / 13.20 and 13.45 from all hotels in
Victoria Falls Hotels and the duration is about three hours.
If you are just wondering around the town of Victoria Falls the Craft Village
is situated just behind the Post Office. If you don't feel that you would
want to take the organised tour you are able to pay and visit the craft
village on your own. You will have the same magical experience.
It is well worth experiencing this mythical African side of Victoria Falls.

Just wanted to let you know that we are now back in Swaziland and had an incredibly fun time enjoying Victoria Falls! All the activities lived up to the hype and I would like to thank you for all your help in organising a busy but full holiday for us! Everything went smoothly from the moment we arrived to the time we left.
Also wondering where you prefer to have your reviews written?

We would like to offer our thanks for sorting a fantastic itinerary for our all too short visit to Vic Falls. The cruise on the Zambesi at sunset was a delight and the helicopter flight breathtaking! The pick ups were punctual and staff members were all very smiley, friendly, helpful and good company. The whole experience of the actual Falls and the town itself was outstanding.
We will return! Your company will be our first port of call. Many thanks for a very efficient service.
