Some Information About Hwange Bush Camp Slideshow

Hwange Bush Camp is a small and personal, semi-permanent tented safari camp, nestled under a canopy of Mopani trees deep in the heart of the African bush. Located in the north-western region of Hwange National Park close to the beautiful and very prolific Deteema pan, the camp is setup for only 6 months of the year from May through to November.

In this Hwange Bush Camp Slideshow, an idea of the type of comfort one can expect at the camp is illustrated. Beautiful Meru tents are lined within the Mopani canopy, each with simple outside seating where you can catch a view of the surrounding bush, comfortable rooms and en-suite bathrooms with bucket shower, hand basin and flush toilet. After a long day in the wilderness, it is easy to relax and retire in these rooms.

In the main area is where everyone comes together to relax around the campfire, have a chat with drinks by the bar and lounge, enjoy delicious 3-course meals under the African sky, or cosy up in the dining area for much needed lunches and teas.

Although the camp is located in a remote park of Hwange National Park, you can see the sizes of the buffalo and elephant herds that you can expect in the area. Game drives and much preferred bush walks are the order of the day.

Our Opinion

Hwange Bush Camp is an outstanding product that we are delighted to be able to offer. A genuine, authentic safari experience is guaranteed if experienced in the months of late July, August, September and October. The simplicity, yet ample comfort of this bush camp offers guests just the right ambiance and at a price more affordable than some of the luxury lodges. Ideally suited to the more seasoned safari goer but even for first timers who are interested in really getting to know and experience the African bush rather than just ticking species off a checklist, the Hwange Bush Camp will be right for you.

The professional guides Spike, Dave and Andy along with their phenomenal tracker Felix are all at the top of their game and you will without doubt leave with unforgettable memories, a lot more knowledge and a longing to return.

Customer Feedback

Brilliant service and so helpful
by Sally (Blisworth, U.K.)
I stumbled across Victoria Fall Guide by accident, but I am so glad I did. Tony and Boo were so helpful, advising us on the best activities for us as I have mobility issues, and arranging our itinerary and booking everything. I had no worries about using them, or sending a very large payment to someone I didn’t know. Everything they booked for us was so well organised, pick ups on time, knowledgeable and friendly guides, clean transport. We did the walking tour of the falls, the sunset dinner cruise, full day at Chobe, the team, lion encounter and the helicopter and every single one was faultless. We were also due to do the lunar rainbow but unfortunately it was cancelled, however boo arranged the refund immediately. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. We are so grateful to them for making our special holiday even more so.
