In the slideshow, you see the regular visitors - the majestic African elephants. It is common to see them drinking from the inviting swimming pool, so you get a very close encounter with them while you are on the main deck of the lodge. The waterhole is also close to the main lodge, and even from there, or on a guided walk around the lodge, you can get super close to the animals at come to quench their thirst at the waterhole. Also in the main lodge is the dining area, lounge and bar, as well as a small collection of books in the library. The main building sits on wooden stilts giving it some elevation. The guest rooms are also elevated and have a spacious balcony, all with views of the waterhole. You can see the cool interiors of the rooms with the lovely en-suite bathrooms. Our OpinionNehimba Lodge is part of the Imvelo group which includes Bomani in south Hwange and Gorges lodge in Victoria Falls, which are 2 of our favourite places. Other high quality luxury lodges in the same group are Zambezi Sands in Vic Falls, and Camelthorn lodge near Bomani. The group maintains high standards and Nehimba is no exception. It is in a great private wildlife concession surrounded by national park ensuring your safari experience will be first class. Consistent excellent reviews demonstrate what a good camp this is in all aspects. Access from Victoria Falls is relatively quick and easy by road transfer therefore reducing the cost of air charters.
